MultiSmart Pump Station Manager & RTU
Brief Summary of MultiSmart Functionality
MultiSmart is a Pump Station Manager - a new category of product - which combines the best of pump controller functionality, PLC flexibility, an RTU, and some control panel components, along with an intuitive operator interface.
The main functional blocks of MultiSmart include:
- Pump Controller - extensive functionality to cover single pump through to 9 pump applications, fill or empty mode, and multiple groups of pumps.
- Flow Module - handles calculated flow or flow meters with common tags.
- Supply Protection - directly measures 3-phase supply and provides monitoring, datalogging and voltage protection.
- Energy and Pump Efficiency Monitoring Module - measures 3-phase currents for each pump from CTs, calculates power, power factor, apparent power, energy, apparent energy, and provides motor protection functions; measures insulation resistance via 1000v megger test; Uses energy and flow to calculate pump efficiency.
- Advanced RTU - MODBUS Master/Slave, DNP3 Master/Slave, allowing multiple Masters and Slaves.
- PLC Functionality - (all 5 languages) to IEC61131-3 standard using IsaGRAF Workbench for extending applications and functionality or adapting existing applications.
- Custom Logic - via "mini-logic engine" using boolean, math and time-based operators for simpler configuration.

Outpost2 SCADA
MultiTrode developed the Outpost2 SCADA platform to showcase the capabilities of the MultiSmart Pump Station Manager. It is built on the Iconics Genesis32 platform and is a fully open system.
